From “Wouldn’t It Be Cool?” to “Holy Crap, That’s a Lot of Miles”

It started with a simple idea:

Wouldn’t it be cool to travel across America and talk to real people about what matters to them?

Well…that idea now has a map.

And after looking at it, our next thought was:

Holy crap, that’s a lot of miles.

The official Do Something Tour route is here—and this just got very real.

Steve Dodge and filmmaker KP Parsi will travel from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., making 27 planned stops along the way. They’ll cross deserts, mountains, small towns, major cities, and more state lines than we care to count.

The journey begins in Los Angeles before heading through Antelope Valley, Kingman, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, and Stanley. From there, the tour travels deep into Texas—with stops in El Paso and Fort Bliss, Midland and Odessa, Uvalde, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth and Tyler.

Then it’s on to Shreveport, Jackson, Mobile, Tallahassee, Orlando, Valdosta, Augusta, Greenville, Asheville, Knoxville, Lexington, Charleston and Roanoke—before finally arriving in Washington, D.C.

Are we exhausted just reading that list? Absolutely.

Are we more excited than ever? Also absolutely.

But this tour isn’t really about the miles, the cities or the dots on a map. It’s about the people Steve and KP will meet between those dots.

The Do Something Tour is traveling across the country to listen to Americans whose lives are shaped by decisions made far away from them—people who often feel ignored, forgotten or convinced that their voices no longer matter.

We want to hear their stories.

Do they believe their voices and votes can still make a difference? What would they change about America if they could? What are they willing to do to help create that change?

This documentary will be less about politicians and more about the people they are supposed to represent.

The route may change. Unexpected opportunities will come up. Roads will close. Plans will shift. Someone will probably miss a turn. Steve and KP may briefly question every decision that led them to spend weeks together in a van.

That’s all part of the journey—and we’re inviting you to come along for the ride.
