MEET JENNIFER KATSKE

Raised in California’s Bay Area, Jennifer Katske is a trauma ICU nurse, military mom, and dedicated social activist. Her experiences at the bedside and as the mother of an active-duty service member have shaped her deep commitment to service, accountability, and protecting others.

Jennifer believes in law and order, the freedoms enshrined in the Constitution, and the responsibility to defend the rights of all people—especially women and members of marginalized communities. Now living in the conservative-majority region of Far Northern California, she has become an active voice for government transparency and democratic accountability. Through Shasta Exposed, Jennifer works to hold local officials accountable, challenge misinformation, and ensure that the people of Shasta County have access to the truth. Her advocacy is grounded in a simple conviction: democracy is strongest when informed citizens are willing to speak up, ask difficult questions, and take action.

In her spare time, Jennifer can usually be found tending to her vegetable garden with her two dogs by her side. Fun fact: she speaks, reads, and writes Brazilian Portuguese fluently.
